Just Breathe Centers Solidarity & Ally Statement

At Just Breathe Recovery and Wellness Centers, we stand in solidarity with marginalized communities and commit ourselves to being an active, accountable ally. We prioritize and center the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of immigrants, BIPOC communities, and LGBTQIA+ communities in every space we create—clinical, educational, and community-based.

We believe mental health care must be affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in liberation—not shame, silence, or harm. We are committed to:

  • Creating safer spaces where clients and community members are respected, believed, and supported.

  • Honoring lived experience and the realities of systemic oppression, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination.

  • Practicing with humility and accountability, including ongoing learning, supervision, and reflection to reduce bias and prevent harm.

  • Using inclusive, affirming language and supporting clients in their identities, relationships, and chosen families.

  • Advocating beyond the therapy room, recognizing that healing is personal and collective—and safety is a human right.

We acknowledge that allyship is not a label; it’s a practice. We welcome feedback, remain committed to growth, and will continue to build a community where people can breathe, be, and belong.
